Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to cross the aisle.

The Democratic Agenda for America
by Patrick Buchanan

What does the triumvirate of Obama-Pelosi-Reid offer?

Rep. Barney Frank is calling for new tax hikes on the most successful and a 25 percent across-the-board slash in national defense. Sen. John Kerry is talking up new and massive federal spending, a la FDR's New Deal. Specifically, we can almost surely expect:

-- Swift amnesty for 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens and a drive to make them citizens and register them, as in the Bill Clinton years. This will mean that Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona will soon move out of reach for GOP presidential candidates, as has California.

-- Border security will go on the backburner, and America will have a virtual open border with a Mexico of 110 million.

-- Taxes will be raised on the top 5 percent of wage-earners, who now carry 60 percent of the U.S. income tax burden, and tens of millions of checks will be sent out to the 40 percent of wage-earners who pay no federal income tax. Like the man said, redistribute the wealth, spread it around.

-- Social Security taxes will be raised on the most successful among us, and capital gains taxes will be raised from 15 percent to 20 percent. The Bush tax cuts will be repealed, and death taxes reimposed.

-- Two or three more liberal activists of the Ruth Bader Ginsberg-John Paul Stevens stripe will be named to the Supreme Court. U.S. district and appellate courts will be stacked with "progressives."

-- Special protections for homosexuals will be written into all civil rights laws, and gays and lesbians in the military will be invited to come out of the closet. "Don't ask, don't tell" will be dead.

-- The homosexual marriages that state judges have forced California, Massachusetts and Connecticut to recognize, an Obama Congress or Obama court will require all 50 states to recognize.

-- A "Freedom of Choice Act" nullifying all state restrictions on abortions will be enacted. America will become the most pro-abortion nation on earth.

-- Affirmative action -- hiring and promotions based on race, sex and sexual orientation until specified quotas are reached -- will be rigorously enforced throughout the U.S. government and private sector.

-- Universal health insurance will be enacted, covering legal and illegal immigrants, providing another powerful magnet for the world to come to America, if necessary by breaching her borders.

-- A federal bailout of states and municipalities to keep state and local governments spending up could come in December or early next year.

-- The first trillion-dollar deficit will be run in the first year of an Obama presidency. It will be the first of many.

Welcome to Obamaland!

[The end of America as we have known her. Her best days will fade into a distant memory]

ABC News: Media's Presidential Bias and Decline

ABC News: Media's Presidential Bias and Decline: "My hard-living -- and when I knew her, scary -- grandmother was one of the first women reporters for the Los Angeles Times. And my father, though profoundly dyslexic, followed a long career in intelligence to finish his life (thanks to word processors and spellcheckers) as a very successful freelance writer. I've spent 30 years in every part of journalism, from beat reporter to magazine editor. And my oldest son, following in the family business, so to speak, earned his first national byline before he earned his drivers license.

So, when I say I'm deeply ashamed right now to be called a 'journalist,' you can imagine just how deep that cuts into my soul."
-------------

A relatively honest man who is ashamed of his profession for its dishonesty and bias.

Worked for Hillary!

Two hundred and fifty times in sworn testimony, Hillary Clinton said "I don't recall." This was nothing compared to what others from Arkansas said to protect her and her philandering husband. Patsy Thomasson, who was in charge of drug matters in the Clinton White House, had a lapse of memory 420 times. Jennifer O'Connor 343 times; Dwight Holton 348 times; and Jeff Eller 697. It worked pretty well for them.

Obama is pretty young for Arkansas Altzheimer's but he's got it, I guess. He sat in Reverend Wright's hate America church for twenty years and can't remember a thing. He can't remember anything about Ayres. We cannot seem to find out anything about Obama's community organizing activities to teach school children to be revolutionaries like Ayres. I think it is called "selective memory."

Jamie Gorelick cannot remember the wall she placed between the intelligence agencies in the Clinton Administration to protect the drug dealers. I suppose she has also forgotten about her part in the fall of Fannie Mae.

Must be pretty catching. Even little kids get it: "I forgot my homework," "I forgot to brush my teeth," "I forgot. I forgot. I forgot."

They seem to remember pretty well everything rotten that anyone tells them though, and remember to pass the news along the line, also. They can't seem to remember to do good and speak well of their neighbors.

Mark 8:17b-18: ...Perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened? Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

God will certainly remember, even though we profess to forget:

Re 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.

Look! and Wonder!

---------

Maybe it is a good think that Baldwin didn't leave the US as he promised he would do if Bush were elected.

He rightly blames the Democrat party for the present financial meltdown. Isn't is a wonder that the party that bemoans the fact that everyone in the world hates the U.S. has arranged to sell the banks of the world bogus paper backed by politically correct housing loans? That will make us love us for sure!

Sarah Palin Makes Her Sick.

Mary Mitchell, a "real" feminist, writing in the Chicago Sun [not to be confused with the real sun which lights instead of darkening the earth], says that Palin makes her sick, and goes on to give the worn-out democratic talking points that have been exploded in less than two weeks.

But Mary should keep it up, for every article like hers pushes the polls for McCain/Palin a wee bit higher.

"Feminism" is not for women's rights, it is for liberal women's power. Don't ever forget it.

McCain Flies His Campaign Past Obama
By Michael Barone

"John McCain was trained as a fighter pilot. In his selection of Sarah Palin, and in his convention and campaigning since, he has shown that he learned an important lesson from his fighter pilot days: He has gotten inside Barack Obama's OODA loop."

-------

If the quotation above is provocative, the article will be even more so. Read it here McCain has shown brilliance thus far in getting the nomination and running his campaign. He has enough savvy and subtlety for both himself and Palin. If the American health care system can keep Cheney alive for eight years, they certainly should be able to keep McCain alive.
