Jonah Goldberg's Goldberg File on National Review Online

Kerry is the man--for someone else.
"Kerry's speeches," in the words of Richard Goldstein of the Village Voice, "bristle with suck-on-this epigrams." He talks about how much he knows about aircraft carriers, he yells "bring it on!" constantly. A consultant to the Kerry campaign even told the Washington Post, "That's our slogan — 'John Kerry: He's no weenie.'"

Cash and Kerry - Presidential election 2004 -City Politic: "But a sobering reality lurked beneath all the boozy enthusiasm. If and when Kerry did win the nomination, he would roll off the Democratic-primary assembly line right into the $200 million-plus buzz-saw otherwise known as the Bush reelection apparatus. If the big New York money didn't throw its weight and resources behind Kerry right now, guests worried, he might not stand a chance."

Yes, the democrats have hardly any support from the trial lawyers, unions, Hollywood, NEA, AARP and any number of rich perverts who want no part of any legislation or administration that will hinder their "liberty" to corrupt any place and any time so as to be able to follow theri corrupt desires. It is a side plight they are in. Really.

David Limbaugh: I'm glad they're nominating Kerry: "Sure, I still think Bush is an odds-on favorite for reelection, but my gut tells me that Edwards could be a more formidable opponent. He has the Clinton schtick down, if not the height, he stays on message like a bulldog, and he hasn't amassed the problematic paper trail that Kerry has. Both Kerry's woefully inconsistent positions and his Jane Fondaesque antics are eventually going to come back to bite him -- hard.
I still think Kerry is virtually unstoppable for the nomination, but I can't get over this nagging fear that Democrats might wake up before it's too late and realize what their polling data is trying to tell them. Which is that Senator Kerry is an unappealing candidate they are crowning because he's 'electable' when in fact the smiling little silver-tongued Johnny Edwards might give George W. a better run for his money."

The best democratic candidate to assure a Bush reelection might have been Dean, but Kerry will do.
