Accuracy In Media - Weekly Column - IS TERESA HEINZ ANOTHER HILLARY?
------
I just had a wonderful thought. Hilary and Teresa slugging it out in the democratic primary in 2008, which the democratic ticket being Hilary/Teresa or Teresa/Hilary. Now wouldn't that be something? Political mud-wrestling at its best!

The BIG Theory: It's Not Working!: "The Big Theory, softening people's view of conservatism by making Americans work more for government and less for themselves, isn't working. How can it? If you act like a liberal to get Democrat votes, you can't do something conservative when you win without losing those new voters. Bush requested $15 billion to fight AIDS in Africa and let Ted Kennedy write an education bill that spent more on 'the children' than ever, and they still rip him to shreds on those issues. You know, Republicans told us that we needed to give them control of the House, Senate and White House to get something done."
--------
Senior Bush was a one-term president because he wanted a "kinder, gentler" conservatism and betrayed conservative Republicans. Junior Bush should learn a lesson from that. Does Compassionate Conservatism mean the same thing: that we throw money to everyone and everything. Give away your own money, Mr. Bush.

The liberal program is not about money and welfare and helping people. The real liberal program is to gain power so that sodomites, adulterers, feminists, baby-killers, professorial liars, religious perverts and other assorted criminals can have freedom to seek their own perverted pleasures and continue their assault on what is left of the Christian faith in this country. The spending programs are for buying votes to maintain the structures of power to obtain their real ends.

When the tax burden--either by direct taxes or by indirect inflation--rises one percent, then I have one percent less money to spend, which means that I have one percent less freedom, one percent less freedom to exercise political activity for the realization of my dreams for my country. The government has one percent more money to spend to buy off voting blocs in order to maintain their power to continue their assault on our freedom. Money means control.

Excite News: "Howard Dean challenged John Kerry's effectiveness as a senator Thursday night, contending that in 20 years, 'not one' of the 11 health care bills introduced by the Democratic presidential front-runner has passed Congress."

Well, why not. If Bush is blamed by Democrats for not finding Bin Ladin by now, why can't they blame each other for not passing a health bill?

Newsmax has an interview with Michael Savage. If you haven't heard of him, you will. Not for the faint of heart.

My Way News: "'I ask Democrats everywhere to join us so we can defeat George W. Bush and the economy of privilege,' Kerry told supporters, promising to 'reduce the poverty of millions rather than reducing the taxes of millionaires.'"

Class warfare, ala Teddy Kennedy. I hope Republicans everywhere run ads where Kerry morphs into Kennedy, because they offer the same snake oil.

STAR-TELEGRAM.COM - Fort Worth Dallas news, sports, cars, and jobs: "We who work in the news media owe Howard Dean an apology about the way we reported his primal scream during the past week. We are responsible for a grave injustice.
After he placed third in the Iowa caucuses, Dean screamed during his concession speech. On the Drudge Report Web site, Matt Drudge reported the scream with these letters:
'YAAAAAAAAAAAA-RRRRHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!'"

The Dean collapse was a television event. Without TV it would have been nothing. The people who heard the speech did not remark that it was anything unusual. After all, we who have heard the Kennedy speech on the Limbaugh show, have heard more irrationality and screeching than that reported about Dean.

But the TV captured the one part, played it over and over again, told us what to think about it, and made America think it was not "presidential." Was Clinton "Presidential." Go figure?

And no, I am not a Dean supporter. The thought of him being president freezes my blood. But my blood freezes at his ideas, not at his screech. I am amused at the screech; I screech at the ideas.
